Have you ever looked at tattoos and wondered about their history and how they came to be? Well, tattoo art has been around for ages, long before we had the modern needles and ink. Tattooing is an art that has been passed on throughout the ages, and it all started many years ago.
Many years ago, there were ancient people in Polynesia who would use tattoos to show their tribe and their achievements. Japanese samurais would have full body tattoos to show their loyalty and honor to their country. Tattoos are art that is created on skin.
In the early ages, they didn’t have the tattoo guns and needles that we have today. They had much more primitive needles that they used to create tattoos in the past. But despite that, tattooing was considered popular and was practiced often.
It has been proven by ancient artifacts that tattoos started roughly five thousand years ago. They were used not only for art and beauty, but for therapeutic reasons as well. Ancients found the use of tattoos for curing some medical problems.
The tattoos that we know today, that we use to express ourselves and our personalities started out in Polynesia. They used tattoos for their tribes and created a unique art style that is now known as tribal tattoo artistry. They were used to show the social status of the wearer and his achievements during his life. Also, they were used to protect the wearer from evil spirits and bad luck.
The way that they made tattoos was much more painful and tedious than what we have today. They had very hard and crude tools which had dyes made from flowers and other plants in them. It took a long time and was often very painful.
From this early tattooing, in the nineteenth century, a man created a tattoo machine that would pave the way to the tattooing that we know now. He created a tattoo needle that was attached to a vibrating machine so that it could easily and painlessly crate a design on the skin. Also, the tattoos could be made a lot more intricate than ever before.
Nowadays, we still use very similar technology to create that tattoos that we see today. From tribal tattoos to the tattoos that were only seen on people from the army, tattoos have become more accepted and are a way for people to express who they are through tattoo art.
